Parley Ocean School
The Parley Ocean School is a global, open-access education platform designed to equip people of all ages with the knowledge and tools to address the most urgent ocean and climate challenges. As Project Manager and Curriculum Designer, I translated complex scientific and environmental research into accessible, story-driven learning experiences for broad international audiences. I authored original courses across multiple ocean disciplines, developed learning objectives, scripted educational videos, and designed quizzes and impact surveys to measure learner progress and engagement.
In parallel, I managed cross-functional teams of scientists, creatives, educators, and production partners to deliver simultaneous modules on accelerated timelines. I transformed existing technical content into compelling digital curriculum and helped shape the platform’s educational voice—ensuring scientific rigor while maximizing clarity, emotional resonance, and action-driven outcomes.
Impact: Parley Ocean School has expanded globally since its pilot, activating programs in 70+ schools and immersive education initiatives worldwide, and helping more than 100,000 students and families experience the ocean firsthand—many for the first time. By connecting education to direct action, the platform empowers a growing global network of “Ocean Guardians” equipped not just with knowledge, but the inspiration and agency to protect the sea.
